Xiaomi recently held a big event where many products were showcased, including a multi-function food processor. A "smart" blender could also join the culinary offer of the Chinese giant.

Increasingly present in the kitchen, Xiaomi does not intend to stop there and could soon expand its culinary offer a little more. In any case, we were able to discover several interesting novelties during a recent event organized by the European teams of the firm.

For the occasion, the company had recreated the different spaces of the house in order to showcase its products, both new and old. It was also on this same event that we were able to approach the Smart Doorbell 3, accompanied by the Mi Wireless Outdoor Security Camera on the side of the front door. The kitchen area was therefore also well represented and well stocked.

A very intriguing multifunction food processor

When we arrived at this show kitchen, an appliance immediately caught our attention. In addition to being enthroned on the central island, it was also the most imposing with its many accessories. And for good reason: it is a multifunction food processor. Not to be confused with a multicooker, such as the Cookeo Touch Wi-Fi, the multifunction cooking robot is a robot capable not only of cooking food, but also of preparing it, like the Thermomix TM6. Unfortunately, we currently have very little information about the Xiaomi model.

The teams present were unable to communicate any technical data and we were not even able to appreciate the interface on the huge screen erected next to the bowl since the robot was not plugged in. On the other hand, we noted the Xiaomi Smart Cooking Robot inscription under the screen, and the graduation up to 2.2 liters inside the bowl. A four-bladed knife was also visible, as well as various accessories: a small steamer basket, but also a large steamer basket with an intermediate level or even a beater. Nothing really exceptional for a robot of this type.

Nevertheless, this Smart Cooking Robot adopts a sober and refreshing design and we can expect to find it at a relatively attractive price considering Xiaomi's habits. In any case, it should be closer to the Monsieur Cuisine Smart than to the Thermomix TM6. It still has to be marketed here, of course. For the time being, Xiaomi is still in discussions with distributors and is therefore unable to confirm the upcoming availability of the robot, even if its presence at the event is a rather good sign.

A blender with a familiar interface

The same goes for the other novelty presented right next to the multifunction food processor: the Smart Blender. It is therefore a blender and the "smart" suggests that one could find programs and wifi or Bluetooth connectivity there, as on the Mi Smart Air Fryer. Like her too, by the way, the Smart Blender has a small screen at the level of the control button. We were able to see it in demonstration at the Smoothie bar, but, again, the technical data is thin and neither price nor release date could therefore be communicated.
